Why did you opt for a secondment at Movement to Work?

To gain some experience outside of the Civil Service and work on a social justice issue.

What was the best thing about your secondment?

Working with such a passionate and driven team.

What were some of the key learnings you took away personally and professionally following your secondment?

Managing a successful digital campaign was an incredible learning curve for me. To learn about digital strategy, content creation and targeted marketing was completely new to me and I am looking forward to taking these skills into my future career! 

On a personal level, it was lovely working in a small, diverse team. Everyone who works at the Movement has a completely different background, age, and career ahead of them. It was fantastic to learn from everyone and be exposed to different ways of thinking.

Why should employers consider seconding team members to Movement to Work?

Movement to work provides development for seconded employees in various different skillsets. But a secondment in the Movement, provides more than just additional skills.

It also instils a sense of social value and justice, seconded employees return to their organisations with a true and deep understanding of the employability climate for your future workforce.
