Tom Munn – Project Delivery, Events & Comms Manager
Seconded from DWP – Tom manages the Operational day-to-day running of the charity, including all events & comms.
Tom joined the Movement to Work team in March 2025 to take up the role of Project Delivery, Events & Comms Manager on secondment from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Tom has been working in the Civil Service for 14 years, and since 2016 in the DWP. He started as a front-line work coach who specialised in working with young customers supporting them in getting into work. Which included delivering Movement to Work placements face to face. He then moved into a capability role and was key in the development of a virtual model of delivery during Covid and then adapting the programme with hybrid and new face-to-face models.
In 2022 Tom won our Mentor of the Year award having mentored many young people on Movement to Work placements and supporting them into work. He built the DWPs very own MtW Youth Ambassador network who are key in supporting MtW in DWP, the Civil Service and also with the charity. His framework is now embedded in DWP as part of its key Youth Offer and the wider Civil Service.
Tom is a keen gym goer helping him to improve his health and keep fit. Tom is a passionate Liverpool fan, growing up in the shadows of the famous Anfield stadium. His most enjoyment comes from spending time with his family of his wife Kim, children Nathan and Isaac, and his stepson Joshua and his little grandson Ted.
