DYNAMIC TEAM, DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES

Here at Movement to Work, our team is diverse and dynamic – mostly made up of secondees from our partner members. This way, we can bring in bright minds from a range of industries who are committed to putting their skills to helping tackle youth unemployment. 

Our secondments range from 6 months to 2 years, helping to ensure the team never stagnates and the Movement benefits from fresh energy, ideas and perspectives.

 

 

Why do it?

A secondment is designed to give an employee an exciting development experience in another team or role. It’s a great opportunity for a person to experience new challenges, while the company benefits by increasing employee engagement and upskilling employees. 

People want purpose in their lives — and that includes their work. Having a secondment in the charity sector can provide both employers and employees with a boosted sense of purpose and mission. 

It has been proven that having purpose at work can increase employee well-being through work-to-life enrichment. When employees feel connected to a greater purpose in their work, it impacts their mental fitness and well-being, they tend to be more energised and resilient to job-related challenges . This means we get a group of highly motivated individuals to support the Movement, who then return to their home organisations renewed and refreshed.
