Disability Confident Events

Following requests from a large number of Disability Confident (DC) employers, DWP have been working closely with a number of DC Leader (Level 3) organisations: KPMG, Do It, AdviserPlus and Manchester City Council. Together, with support from Dr Eamonn O’Neal DL (incoming High Sheriff of Greater Manchester) and Professor Amanda Kirby, we are delivering four-free seminars for national employers covering:

o   New ways of working – supporting disabled people;

o   Managing communications in your team and ensuring accessibility;

o   Looking after your health and well-being;

o   Recruiting and Retaining Disabled People.

On average (as of today) there are 96 employers registered on each event. These events have been promoted via the KPMG Ability Networks; Lord Lieutenants Office and DC Leader networks/channels. Please feel free to share with your teams, members or partners.
