Leave this field blank How might a national jobs and careers service help address your skills and recruitment challenges? The labour market is declining, with approximately 1.5 million people, or 4.3% of the adult population, now unemployed—an increase of 31,000 in the last quarter (Aug-Oct). For young people, this challenge is now exacerbated with data published in November 2024 showing 946,000 young people aged 16 – 24 now classified as NEET (not in education, employment, or training), a figure that has risen by 76,000 on the year and is now the highest in a decade. In response to these pressing issues, the Government has launched the Get Britain Working White Paper, outlining a strategy to tackle economic inactivity, labour market disparities, and barriers to employment. A key component of this strategy is the commitment to creating a new National Jobs and Careers Service (by merging the National Careers Service with Job Centres). This new service will focus on three core objectives: improving engagement, employment, and earnings. Movement to Work aims to understand your needs and provide valuable insights to the DWP to ensure this service effectively addresses your organisation's recruitment and skills challenges. Your responses will remain anonymous. Thank you for taking the time to complete this short survey. 1.
