Make a difference as an EFL Teacher at PGL
Working with kids requires energy, confidence and effort; but we guarantee it’s never, ever boring. Our EFL courses combine classroom based English language lessons, sightseeing excursions and our famous PGL outdoor activities to bring learning to life!
You’ll prepare and deliver fun and engaging lessons to our international guests, both in the classroom and outdoors, encouraging and motivating them to improve their English understanding.
You will get a 3-day induction and support from an on-site Director of Studies who will guide you through pre-written weekly or fortnightly programmes for you to deliver (A1-B2 level) with the option for you to include your own resources that meet our ‘Can Do’ philosophy. Class sizes are a maximum of 15 students.
Are you a PGL person?
You’ll need your ‘Cambridge CELTA/Trinity Cert TSEOL’ or equivalent (PGCE in English/Modern Languages, Primary PGCE leading to QTS) combined with previous experience of teaching or delivering training in a classroom setting. We will also consider other qualifications where the applicant has a minimum of 1 year's relevant EFL teaching experience.
Alongside your passion for teaching, your character is what we value most. PGL people are:
Above all, it’s our core values of FUN, SAFETY, QUALITY, INCLUSIVITY, TEAMWORK and RESPECT that unite us.
A place to thrive
No matter your background, ethnicity, age, neurodivergence or anything else … PGL is a place to be yourself, have fun, make lifelong friends and celebrate what makes you brilliantly unique.
Fair pay and benefits for all
We’re part of something bigger
We’re proud to be part of PGL Beyond, a network of educational travel brands which empowers young people to explore, grow and thrive – through exceptional experiences that go beyond the classroom. Together, we’re making a difference.
