Hannah Sheehan – Director, Skills Journey, Department for Education
Hannah Sheehan is the director responsible for participation and student experience within the Department’s Skills Group. Hannah is responsible for:
- Careers for young people 18 and under
- NEET prevention for young people under 19
- Higher education admissions, access and participation
- Supporting disadvantaged groups to succeed
Hannah has worked in a range of roles across the Department for Education, predominantly on schools policy but also in private office. Prior to this role, Hannah worked on higher education for three years, having joined that part of the department during Covid. She has also worked in Cabinet Office on civil service reform. Outside work, Hannah is Co-Chair of Governors of a federation of two primary schools.
